Institute on Aging is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (Tax ID#: 94-2978977). Contributions are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

Charitable IRA Rollover - Tax-Free Donation
Through December 31, 2009, donors 70 1/2 or older may make charitable donations of up to $100,000 per year from Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) directly to a public charity without counting them as part of their adjusted gross income. The law is intended to benefit donors who do not itemize their deductions as well as itemizing taxpayers who have reached their charitable giving limit. The law applies to both traditional and Roth IRAs, but not to 403(b) plans, 401(k) plans, pension plans, or other retirement plans. Learn more.
Stock and Bond Donations
A charitable gift of stocks or bonds provides an opportunity for tax savings while generously sharing with others. If you have appreciated stocks or securities, you can use them to make a donation and pay no capital gains tax. Simply ask your broker to transfer your stocks/securities to the Institute on Aging account at:

Matching Gifts
