Teach Guitar to At-Risk Children!
Guitars Not Guns is a volunteer organization teaching at-risk and foster kids to play the guitar. Classes are eight weeks in length, and we have a master teacher and several assistants for each class. Currently, we are located at the London Street Boys & Girls Club in San Francisco, but with the help of additional volunteer teachers like you, we can open other programs. Teach School Kids the Basics of Money Management
In the last ten years, the number of bankruptcies among 18-24 year olds has increased by 96%. You can help by teaching Money Savvy Youth to fourth and fifth graders in Oakland public schools. Kids who understand the basics of money management are more prepared to build sound financial futures for themselves. By volunteering to teach the course, you will help create a brighter future for low income communities.
