Mission Statement

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for adults as they age by enabling them to maintain their health, well being, independence and participation in the community.

We fulfill this mission for a diverse community by developing and providing innovative programs in health, social service, creative arts, community and professional education and research.

Values that guide our work

For those we serve

We continually develop our knowledge, skills and resources to provide programs and services of highest quality. We serve with respect and care, without regard to income, race, religious preference, or gender identity and expression.

For their family and friends

We are sensitive to the concerns, and are responsive to the needs of family, partners and friends.

For the community

We advocate together with others in the community for needed services and programs. We maintain close collaborative relationships with other community organizations and agencies.

For those who support us

We recognize that your time, financial contributions, and interest make our work possible. We value this support and will utilize these resources wisely, working together to enhance the lives of those we serve.

For each other

We appreciate and support each other, recognizing the importance of each of our contributions. We generously share information and communicate openly. We value diversity in our backgrounds and experiences.

IOA's 29th Annual Dinner à la Heart

Dinner a la Heart - IOA Fundraiser for Older Adult Services IOA's annual culinary event! Reserve a table at a selection of fine Bay Area restaurants for dinner on Tuesday, February 7th. Prepay your dinner costs and enjoy a delicious 3 course prix-fixe dinner. Participating restaurants donate a substantial portion of the dinner price to support older adult services provided by IOA. Online reservations are now open! Enjoy Valentine's Day early and support Bay Area seniors!
